The bridge crew stand on the bridge at their stations waiting for their arrival to the moon. A few minutes pass and they arrive in orbit of the large moon. " Sub-Commander scan for any recage of a Romulan shuttle craft." ordered Hawke. "Sir we already know that there reported death of Tal is just a cover story. Why do you scan for recage that is not there." asked N'Vek. " If we are to be successful in flushing out these rebels we need support f rom Toreen. And to get that we have to prove that the report of the shuttle accident was fake. There might be more under cover rebels within the Star Empire and they have to beleive that atleast one was." explained Hawke.  " I understand sir." said N'Vek. "Sir I have scaned the area finding no debris of any kind, but I have found a warp signager leading to the surface of the moon." reported Lista. "Great! Transmit this new information to the romulan star base." said Hawke. " Aye." said Lista.

<<<Bridge, Star Runner>>>

The Star Runner arrives over the planet slowly orbiting above the prosumed coordinates of the underground base. Captain Hawke stands up and walks to the OPs station, "Lieutenant Lista scna for any Romulan signagers on  the moon. We must find the exact location of the base." said Hawke. Commander Haire walks toward Hawke, "What are you planing sir?" asked Haire. Hawke tunrs to Dave Haire, "We're going down there erasing their computers of any information they've got on this ship. And possibly get info on this faction." said Hawke. "Sir the moons crust is made of a very dense alloy. I can't get passed it. And from what I can tell if they're under there they can't scan past it either." report Lista. "Well we need to know if they're down there." said Hawke. " Sir I may have a suggestion." said N'Vek as he walks up to them. "Go ahead N'Vek." said Hawke. "We could use our drilling phasers to drill down into the moon. Then we send a class 3 probe into the hole and find the base." explained N'Vek. Commander Haire nods to Hawke and walks away to the turbo life."Good idea. Get on it. Helm take us over that large crater." ordered Hawke. The ship moved into position and the drilling phasers powered up. "Mr. N'Vek are you ready?" asked Hawke. "Yes sir. Preparing the phaser for a 1.5 minute drill." stated N'Vek while working the tactical station. "Fire on my mark cha'Ral." said Hawke. Just then the ship is hit and the bridge shakes, "What the heck was that?!?" gasped Hawk as he caught his balance. "I'm detecting a small defence probe at our port bow." report Lista. "Shields up. Battle stations. How did they see us through that crust?" asked Hawke. "Unknown sir." said Lista.  BOOM! THe ship was hit again, but this time by a second defence probe. "Theres another one. Wait I'm detecting a third.. a fourth.. and now a fifth. Sir they're surrounding us!" reported Lista nerviously. " Ok N'Vek since your at tactical lock onto those probes at fire at will!" ordered Hawke as he sits.

<<<Outside the ship>>>

The Star Runner sits still surround by small defence probes. The probes circle the Star Runner firering unrelentlessly. Their beams streaming right through the shields and riping through the hull. Explotions spue from the hull as atmosphere is released into space. The Star Runner fires on two of the probes destroying them easily only for them to be quickly replaced by two more.

<<Bridge>>>

The bridge is now filled with smoke consoles blink on and off. "Sir those probes' weapons are riping through our shields like they're not there! I'm rotating the shield frequences, but its having no effect." reported N'Vek. "Whats going on here?" whispered Hawke. BOOM! "Hull breech on deck 9! Force fields are in place, but two crewmembers are reported missing!" reported Lista. ~We can't survive in this battle much longer if they have our frequencies and keep coming after we destroy them~  BOOM! "Sir forward phaser are off-line! The hull armor generators are also off-line!' reported N'Vek. BOOM!  BOOM! "Alright! Helm set a course out of here. Warp 8!" ordered Hawke.  "Sir a tractor beam is being generated from the surface of the moon!" reported Lista. "N'Vek target that emittor and fire 5 quantum torpedoes! NOW!" ordered Hawke desperatly to get away from the battle. BOOM!

<<<Outside the Ship>>>

The torpedoes speed from the Star Runner right into the emmittor of the tractor beam. The beam shuts down and an explosion erupts from the moon's surface. Pieces of the crust crumble off and reveal a silver colored compound. The probes begin to attack the Star Runner more agressively then before. The Star Runner takes hits on its drive section and torpedo bays rapidly. But the Star Runner swiftly manuveurs away from the probes and goes to warp 8 leaving the probes far behind them.

"Damage report." said Hawke as he stands up. Bulk heads lay on the ground while smoke fills the dirty air. Medical officers enter the bridge treating the injured crewmembers. "You don't wanna know sir." replied N'Vek. "Sir a transporter beam was picked up in Commander Haire's office. It was directed towards the moon base just before we left orbit." reported Lista. "Was it a romulan transporter beam?" asked Hawke. "No sir it was star fleet. It looks like he went willingly to the moon base. Also several sub-space transmissions were sent during the battle from Haire's office." reported Lista. "Hmmm..... ~Thats not good~ N'Vek have your engineering teams begin repairs. Helm set a course for the Star Base Phoenix we're delivery the Ambassador and going to get some much needed repairs." said Hawke sadly as he sits back down.

<<< Bridge, USS StarRunner >>>

The Bridge has been severley damaged. Bulk-heads are
falling, gas is streaming on to the Bridge and the
computers are flickering on and off. The crew are
shocked by the actions of Commander Haire.

Hawke: ~What could have made Haire do that? He was
supposed to be a good officer.~

Lista: Sir, we have a problem......

Hawke: Yes, Lista, what is it?

Lista: Ambassador Spock is not onboard. I can't find
his comm-badge or bio-signature anywhere onboard.
Haire must have beamed Spock down to the moon with
him.

Hawke: All stop. N'Vek you're in command. Get the
StarRunner back to StarBase Phoenix. Sub-Commander,
Lt. Lyonz, both of you are with me.

N'Vek: Sir what are you doing?

Hawke: I'm getiing back what's rightfully ours.

Hawke, Lista and Lyonz exit the Bridge onto the
TurboLift. The three are silent as the Turbolift heads
for it's destination. The doors open on to deck 10.
Hawke leads them to the main shuttle bay.

Lista: Sir, what do you intend to do?

Hawke: We're taking the Delta-Flyer and going back for
Spock and whatever else they took from us.

Hawke walks into the Delta-Flyer and his two officers
follow.

Hawke: Lista take OPS, Lyonz... helm, I'll have
weapons. Take us out when you're ready.

Lyonz: =/\= Delta One to StarRunner, are we clear to
depart? =/\=

N'Vek: Sorry??? Captain could you please explain what
is happening?

Hawke: No time, open the bay doors Commander, that's
an order.

N'Vek: Yes sir. Opening doors. You are clear to
depart.

With that the Delta Flyer exits the ship, a slight
flicker in the bay force-field as it departs.

Hawke: Set course for the Arganda moon, maximum warp.
Prepare for Stealth cloak.

Lyonz: Aye sir.

The vessel cloaks as it jumps to warp.

Lista: What do you intend to do? The StarRunner was
not capable of doing anything, what are we expected to
do?

Hawke: The StarRunner was not expecting an attack.
This time they won't be expecting us. I intend for
myself and Lyonz to beam to the base and get Spock and
then download their database before I destroy it.

Lyonz: Sir, we're almost back at the moon.

Hawke walks in to the Aft compartment and goes to
weapon storage. Lista follows him.

Hawke: You'll be onboard the Flyer waiting to beam us
out.

Hawke grabs two phaser rifles, two tricorders and also
packs several remote mines and Concussion grenades.

Lista walks over to the computer display on the
compartment wall.

Lista: This is the data the StarRunner gathered before
the sensors went offline. This is a partial map of the
facility. I'll have to beam you in here *she points to
a small room at the edge of the base*. When we fired
to destroy the Tractor beam we took out all sensors in
that area.

Hawke: Good. Prepare to beam us down so.

Lyonz enters the compartment.

Lyonz: We're here sir. The Stealth cloak is preventing
them from detecting us.

Hawke gives Lyonz a Phaser Rifle and a Tricorder.

Hawke: Energize!

Lyonz and Hawke dematerialize as Lista watches her
display unit. When they are gone she walks back to the
command centre to monitor them.

<<< Faction Base >>>

Hawke and Lyonz materialize in a small, dark room.
Lyonz turns on his light and shines it around the
room. Hawke pulls out his tricorder and begins to scan
for Vulcan life-signs.

Hawke: No sign of the Ambassador yet. The corridor
outside is also clear. Let's go!!!

Hawke and Lyonz walk down the Corridor until Hawke's
tricorder begins to beep.

Lyonz: Captain, what is it?

Hawke: A Vulcan life-sign.....

Lyonz: Spock? That's good.

Hawke: No he's being led toward us by two Romulans.
Arm yourself. Get behind that fallen bulkhead and
prepare to fire on my mark.

Lyonz and Hawke both get out of sight in order to jump
the gaurds. A few seconds later the gaurds and Spock
walk passed.

Hawke: Now!!!

Hawke and Lyonz both fire on the gaurd closest to
them. Both Romulans fall to the ground. Hawke runs
toward the Ambassador.

Hawke: Ambassador, are you all right?

Spock: I am, Captain.

Hawke: Let's get you out of here. =/\= Hawke to the
Flyer =/\=

Lista: =/\= Yes sir =/\=

Hawke: =/\= We have Spock, one to beam up =/\=

Lista: =/\= Aye Captain! =/\=

Hawke and Lyonz watch as Spock disappears before them.

Lista: =/\= I have him Captain. What about you and Lt.
Lyonz? =/\=

Hawke: =/\= We're not finished here. Hawke out. =/\=

Hawke and Lyonz continue down the Corridor. Suddenly a
door opens and out walks Tal and Haire. Hawke
restrains himself from doing anything he may regret as
the two walk in the opposite direction.

Hawke: That must be the command centre.

Hawke walks up to the door and sees four Romulans
huddle around a command console. He takes his back
pack off and takes out a concussion grenade. He arms
the grenade and throws it at the group. It bounces
twice before it stops by the officers and then
explodes. Knocking out the officers with an explosion
of white light incapacitating the Romulans.

Hawke walks into the room and walks toward the center
console.

Hawke: Lt. keep watch. This looks like the main
computer.

Hawke places his tricorder on top of the console. He
taps his comm-badge.

Hawke: =/\= Hawke to Lista, Sub-Commander lock onto my
Tricorders signature and begin to download all the
data =/\=

Lista: =/\= Yes sir. This may take a few minutes. =/\=

Hawke: Lt. place these around the room. *Hawke hands
Lyonz the remote mines and keeps one himself*

Hawke: I'll put this one on the main console.

Lyonz: Done sir. There are four mines placed at
critical points around this room.

Lyonz' Tricorder begins to beep. Hawke hits his
comm-badge.

Hawke: =/\= Lista, are you nearly done? =/\=

Lista: =/\= one minute =/\=

Hawke looks anxiously at the door. A figure opens it
and steps in with his disruptor ready.

Haire: Ah Captain, I thought it would be you accessing
the computer without permission. I didn't think you
would come here alone however. Where is the rest of
your team?

Hawke: Haire, what made you do this?

Haire: Pathetic human. You still don't understand?

Hawke: Explain it for me so!!!

Then Lista hails the Captain. Haire then fires but
misses. Hawke grabs his Tricorder and Lyonz jumps
Haire knocking him to the floor. Hawke and Lyonz run
into the Corridor. Hawke taps his badge.

Hawke: =/\= Two to beam up =/\=

Haire sprints after them into the corridor and begins
to fire his disruptor. Lyonz detonates the mines and
the explosion propels Hawke, Lyonz and Haire in to the
air. Then in mid-air the Captain and Liuetenant
dematerialize.

The two then materialize back on the Flyer.

Hawke: Nice timing Sub-Commander. *He says as he walks
passed her tapping her on the back*

Spock: I think it would be prudent to get out of this
system Captain.

Hawke: You took the words right out of my mouth
Ambassador. Lt. Lyonz take the helm and gets us to
StarBase Phoenix at maximum Warp.
