Out of Character Fleet news about the web site and players.

         Thanks to many officers within the fleet we have managed to gain many new players. I thank all of you that have recruited players and welcome, again, the newcomers to our small friendly fleet!

         On another note I am not very pleased with the amount of post, or lack there of. The USS Star Runner has been doing terrific in its posting records, but the Explorers and the Huntress records are low. Please everyone you joined this RPG to sim with other trek fans. Make this fun by posting at least once a week..

In Character Fleet News is news within the Star Trek Universe that has to do with the Unified Fleet.

          On the Federation Weaponry Production Colony (FWPC) another load of weapons have been stolen. Large amounts of photon and a few quantum torpedoes have been taken. Also 10 phaser arrays have been taken too. This time Star Fleet is reacting quickly to find any real clues that will point to who is steeling from the federation. The USS Huntress has been dispatched to handle the investigation. More to come on this story as it develops.

          While Romulan Rebels invade the USS Explorer the leader of the rebel away team killed the executive officer, Commander Mark Haire. They are now currently held by the Explorer crew, but the life has been lost. Romulan officials of Romulas are making formal preparations to repent to the officers families. A funeral service held by the crew of the Explorer is being scheduled for this up coming Sunday.

         After the Federation Colony IV sent out a distress call stating high levels of theta radiation threatened their population, the USS Explorer of the Unified Fleet, was sent out to aid them in finding where this radiation was coming from and how to stop it before the population's lives became at stake. After treating the colonist the Explorer crew found the origin of the strange radiation. A group of energy engineers were experimenting with a new power source to run the quickly growing colony. This power sources waste product was the before mentioned radiation. The use of this power source is now shut down and made illegal to be in use within the federation boundaries. The colonist have all been kept alive and now are resuming their daily activities.

-Star Base Phoenix Mission Report-

        A memorial service for Commander Mark Haire has been held here. Ambassador Trolan arrived and gave Commander Haires mother a gift to show how sorry they are for the loss of her son. Mrs. Haire now has a trip or two to Risa at her will. Ambassador Spock is expected to be arriving soon, once here he will be shuttled back to Vulcan.

          After receiving a distress signal from the Abi-dos system we went to investigate. On arrival we found a small Malconian vessel and there were a number of survivors. We have rescued the survivors. As we were about to leave the sector we discovered that there were nano-bots invading our systems. Our warp core was off-line and Chief Engineer N'Vek was working to get it back on-line so we could then deal with the Nano-bots by flying the ship into a Metreon Nebula.

           With the assistance of the Valkyrie Squadron, to tractor us to the nebula, the Nano-bots have been taken care of and now the Star Runner is making repairs at a Romulan Star Base.

Mission Log: Stardate 55139. 5

        The StarRunner proceeded to the Romulan StarBase Soryak to make emergency repairs. Due to the Classified nature of some of our systems the Romulan engineers have been prohibited fromaccessing these systems. Allowing only my own engineers to repair systems such as our Ablative armour has made repair time much longer.

            N'Vek has encountered a man from his past, Tal,who we believe may be part of the Romulan Rebel Force, The Faction. He is constantly trying to get to restricted ares of the StarRunner and has prevented my crew or I from boarding. However N'vek was already onboard and has been monitoring Tal. With the assistance of Lista I also infiltrated the StarRunner.

          We have also received orders indicating that once repairs are complete we are to escort Ambassador Spock to StarBase Phoenix.

Mission Log- Supplemental:

          After much investigation we have proved that Sub-Commander Tal is indeed part of the Rebel Force. He has fled to the Arganda moon where we believe there is a Faction Base. Tal had also falsified a transmission from a Romuln freighter to fake his death. The StarRunner has proved this to be fake also and are now preparing to infiltrate the Base.

           After finding the base we were attacked and during the Attack we discovered Commander Haire worked with the Faction (His position is now available). He also kidnapped Ambassador Spock so while the StarRunner returns to StarBase Phoenix for repairs I have taken an away-team and the Delta Flyer, under stealth-cloak, back to the moon to rescue Spock and destroy any information the Faction stole from the StarRunner.
