Copeland walked into sickbay ...

"Good morning Commodore" Dr. Malari said

"Good morning to you to ensign, what is it you wanted to see me about" Copeland replied

Malari: "Well I think we've got a strange situation.....Mr. O'Brien came in this morning after he fainted. I took a blood sample and analyzed it."

Copeland "well?"

Malari: "He was lucky to just have received a cocktail of antibody's against different viruses the last time he had his physical...it seems he got a virus."

Copeland: "Thats quite common don't you think doctor?"

Malari: "Mostly of the times yes, but he's got a virus like I never seen before"

Malari: "And by now i think most of the crew could be infected"

Copeland: "Just give them all the antibody cocktail"

Malari:"That's the problem it would take me weeks to create such a large amount of it, plus it is too late now...."

Copeland: "It is lethal?"

Malari: "no I don't think so"

Copeland: "and how much of the crew could suffer the disease?"

Malari:" Since there are a lot of different species and people from different parts of the all quadrant, which would decrease the number, i think a maximum of 20% of the crew"

Copeland:"Just make sure you get them to active duty asap"

Malari: "Yes sir"

Copeland: "Is there a chance the virus could infect the gel packs?"

Malari: "I don't know"

Copeland: "Could you give me a sample? Then i'll bring it to Mr. O'Brien then he could figure that out"

*Copeland receives a small sample in a containment field surrounded container*

"Good luck mr Malari"

And Copeland walked out sickbay to the Science department.

<Science>

"Mr O'Brien, feeling better already?"

"Yes sir....couldn't feel better thank you"

"Dr. Malari found out that there is a virus circulating around here, here is a sample" *give the container to mr. O'Brien* "figure out if it is able to infect the gel packs and if so , find a way to get rid of it!"

"Yes sir"

And Copeland walked over to the bridge to have a chat with the CO and XO.

<Bridge>

"Mr Karplan and mrs Barlett, could you both come over here?"

"yes of course" they answered and walked over to the commodore.

"Mr. Malari found out that there is a virus circulating around the ship, probably 20% of the crew will get ill, and i might be able to infect the gel packs".

Karplan: "I bet that is the work of section 31"

Barlett: "It seems they want to prevent us from leaving DS10!"

Copeland: "I agree, but won't let them win this game, i have full confidence in our crew, so we'll proceed them mission and leave in one hour"

Barlett: "Nobody will stop this fine vessel, not when i am the captain!"

Karplan: "And not if i am aboard!"

Barlett:" number one, please go instruct mr Data to go and search for the one who is responsible for releasing the virus! He must be still on board! After that go over to engineering and ask mr Kronos arrange four teams of engineers to inspect the gel packs"

Karplan: "Yes ma'm"

Copeland looked over to barlett, seeing giving her the instructions to the bridge crew and mr Karplan {i think she would be a great Captain".
