O'brien and N'vek stand explaning what the alein device does.

O'Brien: As you can see Commander this device is way passed our level of technology.

N'Vek: What is happening with the aliens.

Barlett: Nothing yet.We're waiting to be hailed.

Lieutenant: =/\= Commander Barlett we're picking up chroniton fields throughout the ship.=/\=

Barlett: =/\= I'll be right there=/\=

N'vek: {Chroniton fields... no it can't be.}

They all leave the room and enter the bridge. O'Brien sits at the science station, Commander Barlett sits in the command chair and N'Vek stands on the deck.

O'Brien: Comfirmed there are five occurences of the fields on decks 2, 6, and 15.

Barlett: Anyone have an idea whats going on?

N'vek: A...

Barlett:*stands and truns to N'Vek* Yes Ensign.

N'Vek: Well, ma'am on Stardate 45092.4 a romulan scout ship was experimenting with a new phase cloak. But something went wrong and the USS Enterprise came to help. In the end two of the Enterprise crewmembers became cloaked. When anything in this phased state comes in contact with normal matter they produce chroniton fields.

Barlett: So you're saying Romulans are involved.

N'vek: Possibly.

O'brien: Ya I heard about that. They used anti-chroniton particles to shut of the phased cloak.

Barlett: Mr. O'Brien flush the ship with anti-chroniton partcles at low levels.

O'Brien: Ma'am I'm detecting 3 life forms... no wait there gone... it's back. My readings are phasing in and out of cloak.

N'Vek runs over to O'Brien's console.

N'Vek: They appear to be Romulan.

Barlett: Security to decks 2, 4, and 15.

Data, Kavek and N'Vek run up to a phasing Romulan.

Data: reconfigure your phasers to match the frequency.

They fire phasers on the Romulan and he drops to the ground. A small device falls from his hand.

Kavek: What is it?

Data picks up the device.

Data: It seems to be some kind of injector.

N'vek: It's the equivilant of a hypro spray. It looks as if this held some sort of virus.
